Milana
Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor and activist. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actor when she was a young girl, shortly after moving to the United States. She is best known for her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV. In these commercials, Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and 2020 (since 2020). Commercial appearances weren't her only activity she was involved in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). In addition, she was a series regular on Yahoo! Vayntrub, who was originally selected to voice the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of two her parents and she relocated to the U.S. as refugees to get away from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. The financial struggles of her family led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit following her sophomore year. She obtained an GED and then went to pursue an Associate of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She studied improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
