Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998) popularly referred to as MrBeast is an American YouTube star an entrepreneur, philanthropist and entrepreneur. He is well-known for making YouTube videos that concentrate on extravagant stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in the early months of 2012 at the age of 13, under the handle "MrBeast6000" and his initial content ranged from Let's Plays to "videos which estimated the amount of money other YouTubers have." The channel went viral in the year 2017 following his "counting up to 100,000" video racked up millions of views in a matter of days, and he has become increasingly popular ever since, with the majority of his videos earning thousands of views.Over time his style of content diversified to include challenge and donation videos that award millions of dollars, videos involving tough challenges or tasks, and original videos. Donaldson recruited his former friends from school to manage the brand as it grew. As of 2022 the MrBeast team was made up of 60 people.Donaldson's main YouTube channel, which surpassed 100 million subscribers on the 28th of July in 2022, is referred to as "MrBeast".
